Teresa Douglas was raised on a dairy farm in northern Wisconsin.  That is where she learned the value of hard work.  She was always active in the community.  In high school, she volunteered to work with disabled children and traveled as an ambassador for the Lion’s Club.

She is an ASCP certified medical technologist and worked as a microbiologist. She later sold laboratory equipment and supplies for over 19 years to hospital, government, industrial, and educational accounts.  Teresa currently owns a small business providing wellness products.

She knows the challenges small businesses face because she ran an auto repair shop in Maryland Heights, MO for 10 years.  She learned a lot about the impact regulations can have on a small business.

She has three grown children and two lively grandsons and has lived in the Saint Louis area for 27 years.  She has been a resident of Lemay for over 10 years.

A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM TERESA…..

Do you know how everytime you turn around, there is another rule, regulation, or tax that keeps us from doing what we really want to do and destroys our dreams for the future?  It’s time to stop the runaway government!

My name is Teresa Douglas and I am Committeewoman in Lemay Township, St. Louis County, Missouri. For many years, I have watched as one by one, our freedoms and liberties have been taken away. Like many, I wrote to my elected officials thinking I was having an impact, but the rules, regulations, and taxes continued. One day, I was speaking with my son and told him that he wouldn’t remember what REAL freedom and liberty is because he hasn’t experienced it in his lifetime.

And then it hit me….
I realized what I just said…

My children do not know the freedom I had when I was younger!

That was when I decided I can’t sit back and let someone else make the rules. I need to get involved for my children, my grandchildren, my community, and my country.

I decided to run for Republican Committeewoman in Lemay Township because I want to work to break big government and get common people involved in local government.  We need to take control back starting at the local level.

I became Committeewoman because I want to serve the people of Lemay and make people informed about what our government has planned for you.

I believe that our Constitution is a binding document that protects liberty and freedom.  Our public officials have a duty to adhere to the oath they made to protect it.  I also believe that our bureaucracies and tax system have overreached their authority. I feel we will spur growth and development in our community by reducing tax and regulatory burdens.

One of the duties of the Committeewoman is to organize the Republican Party at the Grassroots level.  I am determined to promote Republican participation in our township and build enthusiasm within our Party.  As President of the Concord-Lemay Republican Club, I keep people informed of events to meet their politicians.  I work to let people know about major plans that affect our community so you can participate in the planning and fact finding discussions and stop the wasteful spending.

What makes me different is that I am willing to fight for what I believe in and that means that I am willing fight for the people of Lemay.

You will not find many pretty pictures of me standing with politicians because I have chosen to stand with the people instead of the politicians.  You will find pictures of me standing with the citizens of Lemay and St Louis County fighting for the issues that impact the way we live.

I hope I can count on your vote on August 2nd.  Just put an X in the box by Teresa Douglas.  I am the second Committeewoman listed on the Republican ballot.

Your Conservative Servant,
Teresa
